Growing Connections

The Crossvine is a thriving member of the Schertz and greater San Antonio community. In 2018, we're the title sponsors for the Schertz Music & Movies in the Park series, as well as a sponsor of the San Antonio Fiesta Wildflower Ride. Here's a recap of how we got involved in 2017:

Movies in the Park

We were excited to be the title sponsor for Schertz’ Movies in the Park for the second year in a row. We joined the community in watching some great movies, hosting The Crossvine Movie Trivia, and handing out movie- specific goodies before each flick. We had a catch with Kevin Costner in Field of Dreams and we accompanied Hugh Grant on his quest for Pirate of the Year honors in Pirates! Band of Misfits. We learned about the pitfalls of the undead hospitality industry in Hotel Transylvania 2 and we watched Jim Carrey’s heart grow three whole sizes in How the Grinch Stole Christmas. We laughed, we cried laughing, and we’ll see you all for an encore next year.

Brews and Blooms at the San Antonio Botanical Gardens

In September, we sponsored lawn games at the second Brews and Blooms of the year. Festival goers enjoyed a number of local Texas beers in the lush San Antonio Botanical Gardens. Local food vendors provided guests with aromas and sustenance and with the SABG’s multiple sloping levels and many vistas overlooking both downtown and the garden’s lower atrium, it was a verdant affair. The Crossvine provided an enormous Connect Four set and other games that many took to in between 6oz tasters. Fun was had by all in this beautiful setting.

DAV 5K

We were supremely honored to sponsor DAV: Disabled American Veterans Charity’s 5k race in San Antonio. DAV’s mission to support veterans and their families is critical to our community, and it was heartwarming to see everyone out running for a cause larger than themselves. It’s events like these that make us proud to be a part of the greater San Antonio community and we look forward to partaking in future events.

Here’s to more community building in 2018!
